Public Hearing and Vote on Updating ITE Ordinance

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENT TO ADOPT ORDINANCE

The Adams Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing and vote on adopting an Ordinance entitled:  “An Ordinance Updating the Institute of Transportation Engineers’ Trip Generation Handbook/Manual to the 11^th Edition (2021)” at its regularly scheduled meeting on June 9, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. at the Township Building located at 690 Valencia Road, Mars, PA 16046.

Summary of Ordinance:  The purpose of the amendment is to amend the Ordinance so that the Township refers to the 2021 edition of the Transportation Engineers’ Trip Generation Handbook/Manual 11^th Edition (2021).  The Trip Generation Handbook/Manual sets forth multimodal trip generation data for urban, suburban and rural application.  The Ordinance is effective five days after enactment.  The Ordinance also contains a repealer clause.

Copies of the full text of the Ordinance are available at the Adams Township Municipal Building, the Butler County Law Library (in the Butler County Courthouse) and at this newspaper and may be examined without charge or obtained for a charge no greater than the cost thereof.
