Notice of Vote on Adopting Ordinance
The Adams Township Board of Supervisors will vote on adopting an Ordinance entitled: “An Ordinance Amending Chapter 45 of the Adams Township Code of Ordinances Entitled ‘Supervisor Salaries and Health Insurance Benefits’ ” at its regularly scheduled meeting on December 8, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. at the Township Building located at 690 Valencia Road, Mars, PA 16046.
A summary of the Ordinance is as follows:
Section 1 – Chapter 45 of the Adams Township Code of Ordinances is hereby amended in its entirety by Exhibit “1” attached to the Ordinance.
Exhibit “1” § 45-1 – Increases the yearly salary of Township Supervisors to $5,450.00 per year.
Exhibit “1” § 45-2 – Provides that Supervisors and their dependents are eligible for health care benefits that are equivalent to employee health care benefits.
Section 2 – The increase in salary and the eligibility for health care benefits only apply to Supervisors beginning office after January 1, 2026.
Section 3 – All other inconsistent Ordinances or parts of Ordinances are repealed.
Section 4 – Severability Clause.
Copies of the full text of the Ordinance are available at the Adams Township Municipal Building, the Butler County Law Library (in the Butler County Courthouse) and at this newspaper and may be examined without charge or obtained for a charge no greater than the cost thereof.
